One of the keys to optimizing your training time is to make sure you’re training at the right intensity. To do this requires knowledge of your “training zones” so that you can target specific energy systems and fitness zones on the way towards achieving your goals. I offer scientifically-based testing to determine your training zones and measure your specific response to exercise and training. Each test includes a body composition analysis (via skin-folds) and a coaching consultation to interpret your results and help guide you in applying your results to your workouts.
Lactate Threshold Test: $200
The maximum power or speed that an athlete can maintain at lactate threshold is the most important predictor of performance for most endurance sports. Determining an athlete’s blood lactate profile also provides valuable insight into the training state of the athlete and is the “gold standard” for setting training zones and tracking training progress.
Body Composition: $35
Training programs are designed to increase health and fitness and those results aren't always seen as a decreased weight on a scale. Working out increases heavier muscle mass and decreases lighter fat mass, so looking at a scale is a poor way to measure if you are getting in better shape. Done via skin-folds, this test is a perfect way to supplement the information the scale gives you by tracking changes in lean mass and body fat over time.
